Ebara Vietnam Pump Company Limited (“EVPC”), a group company of EBARA CORPORATION (“EBARA”), established a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 2015. The company will take the establishment of the new base in Ho Chi Minh City, which is the commercial capital of Vietnam, as an opportunity to further enhance the lineup of its products and services in Vietnam.
This year, EBARA will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its first office in Vietnam. More than 1,000 pumps from EBARA are used for water supply and sewerage systems, countermeasures against flooding, and other purposes, not to mention agricultural and irrigation projects in Vietnam. When flooding occurred in Hanoi in 2008, EBARA’s pumps, which had been delivered to Yen So Pumping Station in South Hanoi, continued to operate for a week and stopped the damage from spreading. To respond to Southeast Asian demand for pumps, which is expected to grow steadily, EBARA opened a casting foundry in Hai Duong in the north of Vietnam in 2013.
EBARA will continue to further strengthen the bases of its pump business in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
