Automation has made it possible for anyone to work. From people to robots, inventory tables become smart cards, and some tasks in each process are automated. Logistics within the plant have also evolved. In the past, objects would be shipped to a delivery area where workers would search for the necessary parts and transport them to a work area. Now, however, all the parts used for each order are collected in one card and delivered to the work area.
For the past 10 years, demand in the semiconductor industry has been fluctuating rapidly, so our plant wants to have a variety of operation plans as options to be able to meet our customers’ requested delivery dates. Ebara's strength is its ability to respond to irregular demands from customers, and its multi-functional, flexible production. We want to always be able to perform such multi-functional, flexible production, even with irregular responses as part of our regular operations.
